Piedmont Technical College’s Continuing Education and Economic Development division recently won the 2014 National Exemplary Program Award from the National Council for Continuing Education & Training (NCCET) for its work at the Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) in Laurens County.
Laurens County Sheriff’s Office Major Chris Hudson received a hammock from his Johnson Detention Center staff as a going away gift, but chances are he will have little time to use it. Hudson is transitioning from a career managing inmates to calling on jails and other clients for Southern Health Partners in his new career.
Laurens County veterans and their families will be guests of honor Aug. 2 for Hall of Heroes induction activities in Laurens. The veterans tribute will include an 11 am parade, wreath-laying at monument square, and induction ceremony at 4 pm at Laurens District High School.
