Whitten Center Freedom Day Parade still needs entries

The Whitten Center in Clinton will once again host the annual Whitten Center Freedom Day Parade and Fireworks Display on July 4. The parade begins at 10 a.m. and the fireworks display begins at 9 p.m.

The public is invited to attend the events which are both free. Public participation in the parade is still needed.

Event organizer Shelby Benson said anyone can sign their vehicle up for the parade, which will wind in and around the facility. “Dress your ride up and bring it on down to the parade,” she said.

Participants are asked to simply decorate their ride in a patriotic theme. Dirt bikes and ATVs will not be allowed.

Anyone interested in entering the parade should contact Shelby Benson at 864-938-3310 or Dan Boozer at 864-938-3407.
