Cook led the Red Devils to a 12-12 record this season with averages of 18 points per game and 11 rebounds per game. CHS made the play-offs this season but fell to Lower Richland in the first round.
“We are very proud of Kenny,” said Red Devils Head Basketball Coach Sam Moore. “He is as good of a human being that you will ever meet and is one of the best athletes to walk through Clinton High.”
Cook is the first Red Devil to make the North-South basketball game in five years as Marshall Watts was selected in 2005.
“When I found out, it was great,” said Cook. “I am very excited about the opportunity.”
Cook will further his athletic career following graduation as he said he plans to sign next week to play football at Garden City Community College in Kansas.
The 2010 North-South All-Star basketball game will be held on March 20 at North Myrtle Beach High School. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 pm.

For the second time this year, Clinton High School senior Kenny Cook has been named to a North-South All-Star team. Cook participated on the North team in the 62nd Annual South Carolina Automobile Dealers Association North-South All-Star football game on December 12 in Myrtle Beach and was notified this week that he had been chosen to participate in the North-South All-Star basketball game later this month.
